Job Overview
The Director of Finance will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of the company. This includes managing financial planning, budgeting, accounting and reporting to ensure financial health, continued compliance and sustainability of the organization. The Director of Finance will lead and motivate a team, set performance goals, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure timely and accurate presentation of financials to senior leadership. This position plays a critical role in driving financial performance and supporting the organization's mission to deliver high-quality, cost-effective care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Accounting: Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and financial standards.
- Audit: Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits.
- Data Analysis: Analyze data to make informed decisions, identify trends, and recommend strategies for improvement.
- Strategic Planning: Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making in collaboration with department heads.
- Cost Management: Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve departmental goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of overall experience in accounting or finance with direct, progressive, and responsible financial management experience, preferably in a healthcare-related field
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory/management experience.
- Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement models
- Analytical, organization, and leadership skills; proficiency in financial software and tools.
- Knowledge of healthcare financial regulations and compliance requirements.
