As a Recreation Therapist at Nextaff, You Will:

• Record and track patients' assessment progress and discharge status in accordance with institutional policies
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care interventions
• Assess reports from physiotherapists, teachers, physicians, and counselors to determine patient functioning levels
• Educate clients on injury prevention, treatment, and overall health promotion
• Observe and analyze patients during treatment sessions
• Stay up-to-date with new treatments and research developments

Qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Recreation Therapist
• Certification as a Recreation Therapist by the California Board of Parks OR Certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification
• Licenses Required: Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
• Valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)
