Director, Product Management

The Role:

Our site in San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking a Director of Product Management to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and growing various market segments in the semiconductor processes area for the Gas Purification Business Unit. This global leadership position involves managing product management teams across regions and overseeing all aspects of the product lines related to these markets. You will develop strategic plans, manage segment revenue and profitability, and lead product/technology roadmaps, new product development, and marketing collateral. Additionally, you will support daily business activities, ensuring customer satisfaction through collaboration with customers, operations, quality, and other cross-functional groups.

What You'll Do:

• Lead cross-functional, global teams to execute market and product line strategies, including product definition, commercialization, manufacturing, pricing, and lifecycle planning.

• Drive profitability of market segments in line with BU P&L targets, understanding cost structures and managing in-market pricing.

• Build product and technology roadmaps, define market requirements, and ensure a robust product pipeline for future success.

• Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and act as a champion for voice of customer initiatives.

• Drive new product sampling and adoption with key customers and partners.

• Align on portfolio management and secure necessary resources for key priorities.

• Support operations with production priorities and allocations.

• Analyze market positioning and market share, maintaining updated revenue forecasts and supporting capacity planning.

• Manage and develop Product Managers to meet segment goals.

What We Seek:

• A technical background with a Bachelor's in Chemistry, Engineering, Material Science, or related fields. A Master's Degree or MBA is preferred.

• Strong understanding of the gas purification business and semiconductor market requirements.

• Proven track record in leading cross-functional and cross-cultural teams, delivering growth in critical product lines.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead across teams.

• Experience in portfolio and P&L management with a solid understanding of financial metrics.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.

• Willingness to travel globally up to 20% and participate in global calls outside normal hours.

• A strong safety mindset aligned with company policies.
