As the Billing and Data Programs Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our billing and data systems. You'll lead a small but mighty team of Billing Coordinators and Data Analysts, guiding them to deliver high-quality work that supports our Homeless Services Division. Your leadership will help ensure timely reimbursements, accurate reporting, and data-driven decision-making that fuels our mission.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelor's degree and/or experience equivalent to a minimum of five years of experience in homeless services.
  • Must have knowledge of homeless services, Case Management, and CalAIM initiatives.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with HMIS and Client Track systems
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisory/management position.
  • Experience in billing medical insurance is preferred.
  • Bilingual/biliterate in English and Spanish preferred.

As the Billing & Data Supervisor you will:
  • Directly oversees Billing Coordinator and Data Analyst roles
  • Provides coaching, training, and performance feedback
  • Supports cross-training and professional development
  • Manages daily billing operations for CalAIM and related programs
  • Ensures timely and accurate claim submissions and reconciliations
  • Audits billing reports and resolves discrepancies
  • Coordinates with Finance and external partners (e.g., CenCal)
  • Oversees data entry and quality in HMIS and related systems
  • Ensures timely and accurate reporting for internal and external use
  • Collaborates with Planning and IT to optimize data systems
  • Maintains confidentiality and data integrity
  • Develops and delivers training on data systems and billing processes
  • Provides technical support and quality assurance feedback
  • Acts as liaison between Homeless Services, Finance, and external partners
  • Prepares and presents data summaries to leadership and stakeholders
  • Participates in community and internal improvement meetings
  • Ensures compliance with funder and CAPSLO policies
  • Identifies and implements system and process improvements
  • Supports development and maintenance of data systems
