PrimusLabs, a global leader in food safety for the fresh produce industry is in search of a billing specialist our team in Santa Maria, CA. For nearly 30 years, PrimusLabs has been a trailblazer in all aspects of produce food safety, offering the most extensive range of microbiological and pesticide testing services available to agricultural and other food industries, domestically and abroad. We offer dynamic solutions from laboratory testing, field sampling, and supply chain management throughout the produce world. The primary function of the billing specialist is to assist with the invoicing of samples for PrimusLabs' multiple laboratories. Hourly wage is $21.00 to $25.00 depending on experience. Schedule: Monday-Friday

General Responsibilities:

Timely and accurate invoicing of samples

Research and resolve customer inquiries

Customer account set-up

Assist other team members as necessary

Requirements

Education/Experience: Associates Degree in Accounting (or higher) or 3 years work experience

Qualifications: Strong knowledge of billing and financial concepts

Outstanding computer skills using Microsoft Excel and billing software (Sage - willing to train)

Accurate data entry skills using keyboard and 10-key

Exceptional attention to detail and excellent time management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to create channels of communication to obtain information necessary to perform job tasks

Position requires the ability to sit at a computer for several hours at a time

Must be able to work independently

Ability to physically lift the weight of a filled archive box

Impeccable work ethic and understand that accuracy is of the utmost importance in this very fast paced work environment
