About PathPoint: PathPoint is a nonprofit dedicated to helping people flourish. We partner with children, adults, and families to foster hope, build life skills, access support systems, and form meaningful relationships. We serve communities across Kern, Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-4:30pm, 37.5 hours per week.
Compensation: $24.00 per hour. If you are bilingual (Spanish or ASL), the starting wage is $24.30 per hour. The pay range for this position is $16.03-$25.24. The pay range is subject to change based on a variety of factors.

The Impact you'll make:In this role, you'll develop personalized lesson plans and materials tailored to individual needs, leading both in-person and remote classes while planning community outings and coordinating recreational activities. You'll conduct one-on-one training sessions to set goals, monitor progress, and document outcomes, while also supervising and coaching groups at work and volunteer sites to enhance their skills and work behaviors. Instruction will focus on sensory-motor skills, communication, cognition, and social-emotional development, along with support for personal hygiene and daily living activities. You'll implement behavioral support programs, track data, and collaborate on Individual Service Plans and Person-Centered Plans. Additionally, you'll ensure attendance, manage supplies, and maintain a safe environment.
Qualifications- Prior experience supporting or instructing individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required; if you are interested in this job but do not have directly relevant experience, we'd still love to hear from you!
- Must be comfortable with assisting with personal hygiene and other activities of daily living, which may include feeding, lifting, transferring, toileting, range of motion; assists individuals with medication.
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to interact with individuals with disabilities, their family members, social workers, employers, and others in a positive and constructive manner.
- Must have a valid California driver's license with a satisfactory driving record, 5 years of driving experience, and be eligible for coverage on PathPoint's auto insurance policy.
- Culturally aware, acknowledges diverse employee backgrounds, possesses skills to collaborate across cultures, and avoids biased assumptions based on cultural differences.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
