Job Description: As our Head Chef, you will play a crucial role in setting the culinary direction and standard of our restaurant. You will be responsible for creating and executing a captivating menu that highlights the best of Jamaican and Caribbean cuisines. Your expertise will be essential in launching our much-anticipated brunch service. This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-starter who is ready to take on a new challenge and leave a mark on the local culinary scene.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee all aspects of the kitchen and food preparation

- Create and develop menus that align with the restaurant's concept and target audience

- Manage and train kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers

- Ensure food quality and presentation meet high standards

- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed

- Collaborate with the restaurant management team to plan and execute special events or promotions

- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment in accordance with food safety regulations

- Stay updated on industry trends and new culinary techniques


Requirements

- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting

- Strong knowledge of restaurant management, including budgeting, cost control, and inventory management

- Excellent culinary skills with a focus on creativity and innovation

- Ability to lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff

- Knowledge of dietary restrictions and ability to accommodate special dietary needs

- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices

- Strong communication and organizational skills
