**Driver/Warehouse - The Plumbery**

**Description**

Performs assigned warehouse and delivery duties in a safe, friendly manner. Responsible for keeping the warehouse and delivery equipment safe and clean. Maintains a positive, helpful attitude toward fellow Team Members and customers. Duties and Responsibilities: (may perform one or more of the following) 1.Customer Service: a. Provides excellent customer service by treating all customers fairly and honestly. b. Delivers the following customer service standards with a welcoming manner: Phones are answered politely within three rings. Customers are greeted as they arrive and promptly helped. Customers come first, not paperwork or discussions with other Team Members. Orders are written, pulled, and double checked accurately. Customers are thanked for their orders. Will calls pulled before the customer arrives. Customers are given assistance in loading will calls onto their trucks. Orders are delivered on time. Product is given to customers free of damage. Customers are notified of back orders. Customer service issues are resolved by the end of the following business day. 2. Warehouse Duties: a. Unpacks, sorts, moves, and stores product in the warehouse or yard according to designated locations using a forklift or other material handling devices. b. Receives product into warehouse following established procedures same day c. Loads, unloads, and moves product onto or off of trucks or other vehicles. d. Assembles customers orders and places in designated area. e. Cleans and maintains safety of warehouse, yard, and storage areas. f. Follows established Company safety guidelines to ensure own safety and safety of co-workers. g. Maintains forklifts, trucks, and other equipment. h. Packages product for shipment according to Plumbery standards. i. Loads delivery truck according to Plumbery standards. j. Using proper equipment and lifting techniques, quickly and accurately pulls product for customer orders and/or branch transfers from warehouse shelves. k. Performs necessary functions to fulfill, complete and record customer will call orders. 3. Delivery Duties: a. Delivers products to customers, using a vehicle that does not require a commercial drivers license in a safe and timely manner without damaging product, vehicle, or other property. b. Inspects truck to verify safe operation, works in a safe manner and follows appropriate procedures. c. Unloads product with a forklift or manually using other material handling devices. d. Documents any damage or shortage at time of delivery on a credit memo. e. Obtains customer signature for delivery. f. Ensures load is secured before proceeding to next delivery. g. Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions. h. Maintains friendly and courteous customer relationships. i. Completes and maintains driver logs and hazardous materials shipping papers according to DOT regulations. j. Ensures possession of appropriate shipping papers when making deliveries. k. Makes multiple deliveries in one day. l. May assist customer with product put away. m. Checks truck and paperwork to verify appropriate delivery of product and quantity. n. Completes all required paperwork related to deliveries. o. When applicable, collects money/payment from customers for COD deliveries and delivery charges. p. Accurately returns product from customers and prepares inventory return **Education/Experience/Skills**

* High school diploma or GED required

* Regularly and repetitively lift 50 pounds and frequently lift 75 pounds, using proper lifting techniques

* Able to move freely about the facility, climb stairs, stoop, bend, kneel, stand, and walk for extended periods of time up to and over 8 hours a day

* Able to read customer orders, transfer, and stock numbers

* Able to use all types of warehouse equipment including, but not limited to, hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, ladders, order pickers bar code readers, etc.

* Able to use an electronic calculator, computer, and other business equipment

* Able to work at heights up to 30

* Able to handle multiple activities

* Customer service-oriented approach, responds to requests with a sense of urgency

* Proactive, self-motivated, able to recognize issues and resolve or escalate appropriately

* Willing to think out of the box and identify process improvement opportunities
