**Job Purpose**

To support the Snow Valley Mission Statement and the Tickets Department, Guest Services, Security, Parking, and Marketing Department by assisting visitors in the base area as they arrive and throughout the day by answering questions about our products. Assist other departments as needed and directed by Supervisor.

**Essential Functions/Physical Demands**

* Works up to 10 hour shifts, often for 6 consecutive days

* More than 80% of shift is spent outdoors and performed during varying weather.

* Requires standing and/or walking for long periods of time.

* Occasional bending, stooping, reaching, pushing and lifting up to 50 lbs.

**Experience/Training/Education**

**Required:**

* Must pass a post-offer "fit for duty" physical exam, provided by Snow Valley

* Must be at least 18 years of age

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills

**Desired:**

* Experience in Customer Service, Guest Relations or other Hospitality experience.

**Knowledge/Skills/Ability**

Hosts should have strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills and have the ability to effectively communicate information about the Snow Valley Resort and the mountain community. Hosts must be familiar with all Snow Valley activities and venues and be prepared to answer all manner of questions in a clear manner. A Base Area Host's primary physical area of responsibility is in front of the main ticket windows.

**Environmental Elements**

Work may be strenuous at times and performed during inclement weather. The temperature can range from well below freezing to in excess of 80 degrees Fahrenheit with high winds, snow, rain, dense fog and intense sun. The terrain is often on uneven and icy ground. Protective equipment is strongly recommended including full sun protection, adequate clothing for conditions and expected conditions.
