Volt is immediately hiring Dispatchers for a local cooler on the Central Coast!
Job Description:
- Maintain professional contact with drivers throughout the day.
- Collaborate with management to modify orders or the needs of the customers.
- Always answer incoming phone calls in a professional manner.
- Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce stress that comes with last minute schedule changes.
- Inserts incoming product into customer's inventory.
- "Check-in" point for truck drivers.
- Make necessary adjustments to customer orders when written notice is received.
- Highlight special requests to ensure loaders are in tune with all special requests.
- Input shipping orders.
- Check out orders accurately.
- Report miss-loads to Supervisors
- Load express trucks in the event of business need.
- Communicates with Supervisor on special comments on orders, order adjustments, product inventory counts.
- Follow Safety procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to work both 1st & 2nd shift
