**Laborer**

**Summary**

The Laborer position is responsible for keeping assigned plant areas clean and free of hazards. This position will support in other areas as needed.

**Description**

**These are temporary positions for the next 2-3 months. These are 12 hour shift There are 2 shifts available:**

**Need 3-4 individuals for Day Shift - 4am - 4pm**

**Need 2 Individuals for Swing Shift - 11am-11pm**

**May be an opportunity for a temp-hire situation**

**Job Summary:**

The Laborer position is responsible for keeping assigned plant areas clean and free of hazards. This position will support in other areas as needed.

**Job Accountabilities:**

* Shovel material out of the sifting and refining areas.

* Sweep areas around the plant.

* Push and/or pull hoppers throughout the plant.

* Understand and ensure SOPs are being followed when performing required tasks.

* Clean and maintain all assigned areas throughout the plant.

* Work with production and maintenance teams in upset conditions to ensure necessary actions performed safely and promptly.

**Job Qualifications:**

Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Ability to assist with maintaining equipment and getting areas ready for down days.

Understanding of documentation requirements including but not limited to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Preventive Maintenance (PMs), and Troubleshooting Documentation, Daily Rounds.

Demonstrated ability to follow and maintain Safety expectations while operating and performing adjustments, inspections, and routine maintenance

Working knowledge of safety standards of equipment.

Ability to work independently without supervision to safely and effectively maintain equipment.

Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.

Highly flexible with the ability to maintain solid interpersonal skills and work effectively in a diverse, team environment.

Ability to effectively communicate verbally and through documentation.

**Physical Requirements:**

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work is performed primarily in the plant manufacturing environment. The employee must have high mobility and dexterity due to expanse of operations and be able to climb stairs, walk long distances. The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
