San Luis Opispo Job Seekers: Thank You Letters are Important!

In another article it is mentioned how important writing a thank-you note after a job interview can be. In this article we'd like to expound on that concept some more and give you some pointers as you go to craft the all-important thank you note while looking and interviewing for San Luis Obispo jobs. Don't forget how important a thank you note can be; it's sometimes the difference between getting a call-back for a follow up interview and not getting one.

1. Keep it orderly and professional: while thank you letters should be more personalized than cover letters, it's best to still keep them formal and professional.

2. Send one to each person you interviewed with: if you interviewed with more than one individual, it is a good idea to send a thank you to each interviewer. If this is the case, it is best to customize each thank you, and have them address the topics that came up during your time with them.

3. Email it: you want to send your thank you letter as soon as possible (within 48 hours), so email it. Emailing thank you letters is an acceptable and common practice. It doesn’t even have to be an attached document. You could have your thank you in the body of the email, so long as it is concise and well written.

4. Send one even if you don’t get the job: if you get turned down, it is still a good idea to send a letter thanking them for your time. This will end your interaction with the company on a positive note, and they may remember you down the line for it.
